With sincere thanks to [profile=ed4copies]Ed Brown[/profile] for running the auctions, all the enthusiastic bidders, and especially the generous winning bidders, it's my pleasure to provide the following:

8 Items were auctioned with total proceeds of $1201.55. After deducting the original purchase price and shipping expenses, adding $60 for an anonymous donation, and rounding up for an even number,

Mrs. Fairfield is getting a check for $700!

THANK YOU ALL!

Attached you will find a spreadsheet showing the calculations, the letter I'll send to Mrs. Fairfield with the check, and a nice photo of Russ that she included with a note thanking me for the check I sent her for the items last year.

This will go out to her as soon as I get her address from Scott Greaves.

I enjoyed having the items from Russ here for over a year. I know the winning bidders will appreciate them just as much, and I am positive that Mrs. Fairfield will appreciate the check.

For those of you who don't know who Russ was, read the letter below and you'll get a small sense of his importance to the penmaking world, to the IAP, and to many of us personally.

Very nice Jeff. I never knew Russ, nor have I seen any of his videos as yet, but I'm certain his wife will greatly appreciate your kind thoughts and actions.

I am going to enjoy my bowl for a year, as you did. It will go into next year's bash where another lucky bidder can "rent" it. Let's keep this going as a tribute to Russ's legacy.
