I have a 70-100 I bought in 2006. Apparently, there was a brief period where the threaded hole for the motor locking screw was drilled in the wrong location. Instead of correcting it they just substituted a shorter belt. I've now broken my original belt and the new, and only belt now supplied, is too long. It allows the motor to hang down where the locking washer barely catches the motor plate allowing the motor to bounce if you have any kind of serious catch. Not usually the case on pens but small bowls/etc.
Can someone with a 70-100, not with a serial# beginning with "06" and preferably not a "VS", measure the distance from the bottom of the base to the center of the clamping screw hole so I can drill and tap for a new hole?
Thanks, Mike...
