rherrell's tool rests on a Rikon lathe

Hey, I'm getting ready to order a tool rest from rherrell, but I neglected to measure the tool rest that came with my rikon 70-100 lathe while I was at home. Does anybody have the measurements handy (shaft diameter, overall height, etc)? Also, I believe that the length on the OEM tool rest is 6 inches. Is this right? Third question. What length do you like to use for turning between centers? I was thinking that for most pens (except long clicks), 3" or maybe 3-1/2" would be plenty long without being too long. Does this sound right?
