Respirator vs Eyeglasses?

I've never used a respirator before, but some of the threads about the nastiness of some of the finishes makes me want to buy one.
Before I shell out the money, I'd like to know if the part over the bridge of the nose interferes with eyeglasses.
I wear blended lenses and it doesn't take much movement to make them useless for me.

Bob, my respirator interferes with my trifocals, but just barely.

I've been using the Triton powered respirator for a few months, now. It has a full face shield that doesn't interfere with glasses. I haven't used it in the heat of summer, yet, but I find it comfortable -- more comfortable than any of the dust masks or respirators I've tried before.

My only complaints are that it may cut out too much of the noise -- I want to hear what my turnings are doing!? Oh, and I have to remember I can't blow sawdust away through the face shield

The Triton does not interfere with my glasses either. I also have a double filter/canister type of mask that is made of soft rubber or silicone. It uses two straps and keeps tight. It stays sealed totally and does not interfere with my tri-focals. I haven't seen that exact shape in the US but similar to the one listed HERE.

The Trend works out great for a person with glasses its also very quite.

trend Airshield works for me. doesnt interfere with my glasses either. Still got the same problem of trying to blow sawdust away though

I have a Triton and use it when turning & sanding larger turnings like bowls. Please note that the filters in shields like the Triton and Trend are not rated for fumes that accompany finishes and resins. There are very good for what they are designed... particulate material, i.e. saw dust, etc., but not chemical fumes. IWTTWIS
