On top of being in bed for the past two days with the flu, I have to peel myself out of it to take my dog of 15 years to the vet to have her put down. I don't want to do this but have no choice. She is suffering...

My request?

Is there anyone out there that can make me a real nice 'urn' out of wood for me to place her ashes? I hate to use the ones that come from the vet service.

If so, please send me a private message so I can communicate with you further. Below is her photo so you know about her size and the size I need for the urn.

Thank you all for your consideration.

Michelle

Sympathizing with you Michelle. I know how difficult it is. Had to put our dog of 18 years down a while back. Praying for your comfort from both the flu and your beloved dog.

Sorry, can't help with the urn but maybe someone here can.

Michelle .... so sorry to hear that you have to part with your cherished canine companion of 15 years. Thoughts go your way at this sad time

Sooo sorry for your loss. You are a brave lady. My Spitz of 14 years old was put down. I could not do it myself. I disappeared while my wife met with the vet and had Missy put down. Again, my sympathies.

I am also very sorry to hear about your loss. And I think your request is a great idea. Much ummmm warmer? Which is why I love wood to start with. Good luck I hope someone will be able to help you.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I had to do the same thing 2 weeks ago. Mine was 16 years old and looked just like yours. Leaves an empty space in your heart that can never be filled again no matter how hard you try.

Thank you all for your offerings. The person I was going to use did not work out. I will be going back over all of your posts and contacting you via PM soon. Thank you again. Your words were all very comforting.

Geezz Michelle, I was expecting you to be better than that, I understand that you may have decided to dislike me because of my "directness", if that is your opinion, I may have to respect it but, I don't have to agree with it, correct...???

There is also showing that your dislike to me, brings a nasty sarcasm from you, really Michelle, were those 2 last posts necessary..???

I did ask if you would tell us, what was that your pet was suffering with/from to require such action...! I did also say that, I don't like the term, "putting a pet to sleep", and I may have a good reason for that, I have 3 wooden urns I made myself, of pet dogs that meant a world to me so, stop being so childish with your attitude and try to understand what is said, even if is from those you don't like, for whatever the reasons you think you may have, very disappoint Michelle, coming from an Officer of the Law...!

I'm not that monster you got in your head, I'm most sensitive to the situation that hurt us humans, I may have my own way to express those feelings but, that doesn't mean they don't have the right to be understood and respected.

Saying that, I can see that you still don't have a urn made for your pet ashes and while I'm a long distance away, I would be more than happy to turn for you that urn that you so much need, I know (unfortunately) what size urn you need...!

There will be no charge to any of it, I will select a nice wood, I will turn, finish it and sent it to you, free of charge...!

Sorry if this, is not the response you were expecting from me, once again, you were wrong...!

The decision is yours, I should have your postal details, from the only order you made from me so, I should be alright there and, if I can't find it, I will let you know...!

Cheers
George
