I put Ren Wax on every pen. When we use to sell at shows... it worked great because it won't show finger prints. And you had a lot of people picking them up and looking at them. Here is a picture of the 200ml canister of Ren Wax that I bought in 2007. I don't do hundreds of pens a year. But I have made my fair share... and I'm betting this will last another year. Back then I bought this at the Woodcraft Store. I see they sell it for $29.99 now. But you can get for $25 through Amazon.

Is this the only finish you use or do you finish the pen and put this over the top to prevent fingerprints?

No, I usually use a CA finish. Then this goes over top. I'll buff the parts as well... finger prints are nasty.
