This is my first attempt at casting. Did this last week. It did not really come out all that great, but they are 9/11 remembrance stamps so I decided to share.
I figured stamps would be an easy way to start out casting. I used a silicon resin saver mold. Used Castin Craft PR. Based on measuring the maximum cast thickness at 1/2", and the directions on the label, I came up with 6 drops per oz. It turned very easily, so I was happy with that. I also sprayed the stamps with two light coats of Mod Podge Acrylic Sealer, allegedly safe for paper.
I was disappointed to see the stamps looked a little soggy. Don't remember if it was from the sealer or the PR. But the biggest disappointment were the bubbles.
Anyway, try prying it from my hands!
