Hello all !

Hope you are all doing fine and have what you need for our current situtation.

Pictured are a few " long boys" I made recently

First, black and brown ripple ebonite using a Bock #6 F.P. section.
Cap width 18mm
Body width 16mm tapered to 12.3mm
Total length capped/closed 180mm
Cap to body tap & die M14 x 1.0
Section tap & die M10 x 1.0

Second, blue marbled casein / galaith with black ebonite cap and Jowo #5 f.p. section.
Cap width 18mm
Body width 15.5mm tapered to 13.5mm
Total length 176mm
Cap to body tap & die M14 x 1.0
Section tap & die M10 x 1.0
I made the body thread tenon too big I believe, its easy to see the black at the neck..

Third, orange & black conway stewart acrylic with black ebonite cap and Jowo #6 f.p. section.
Cap width 18mm
Body width 16mm tapered to 12mm
Total length 187mm
Cap to body tap & die M14 x 1.0
Section M10 x 10

My 2 cents.
Overall these pens look sweet!
Things I need to think about before I agree with myself (or "if I were you" as one of my bosses usually says) are the apparent mismatch between the body and cap shape. Basically am I satisfied with these or would I have come up with something different?

Excellent work. What is your preferred polishing method/material?
Thank you !
I wet sand only, starting at 320 (lower if its really rough) with water I'll use 400,600,800,1000,1200,1500 using good wet/dry paper..i like 3M. Then I use all 9 of the micro mesh with water...then the last step is 2 8" buffing wheels. 1st with red tripoli and 2nd /last with blue buffing compound from Caswell .
The buffing wheels are what I feel improved my polishing more than anything else I've done.
