Howdy

My wife was looking at a roller ball statesman I made and said†gee this should have been a fountain penâ€.

I said well I have another kit here that’s a fountain pen. Ill make another one in the same wood.

As I was walking out the door my brain started to have its own conversation.

too bad I cant just unscrew the roller ball tip and screw in the fountain one.

Ha ha you idiot that would be too simple, won’t work
Why not, I don’t know, maybe it will, go back and try it.

So am I the only one that didn’t realized you could unscrew the roller ball tip and screw in the fountain pen tip in a statesman.

Now I know sometimes my lathe may not be on the fast speed, so be gentle in your answers.

sigh.....pete

Just make sure you get the spring out of the end cap. It may cause problems with ink converters and you will need it for rollerballs.

Hey, Pete, if it was me, I'd just swap out the FP for the RB parts and give it to her. [:p][}:)]

BTW, don't forget to remove the tension spring for the RB refill.
