Real Stone

Been making these for years----yup the are made of real stone.
I was getting the stone from China until they jacked the prices way up.
The stone is called Shou Sham----turns with regular tools. I do use a file for the last 20%.
It also is very fragile---thus the Ivory bands on the ends---yup--real Ivory.

Where's the ivory from?

We have been packing for a big show and are leaving in the morning.
I still have 4 pens to build yet tonight.
When I get back I will get you a pic of the best stone pen I have made---almost had to order larger price tags for it.

I have no ideal what his pen is made of---to tell you the truth---I have never weighed one of the stone pens.
