I know there are a lot of RC Plane guys on here. How many race cars or trucks? Figured i'd show some pics from today. This was taken at REO Raceway in Rockport Indiana. It's an indoor shortcourse track. I finished 4th out of 19 in the Modified 4x4 class. Hope you guys enjoy.

1/8 pro buggy, 1/8 pro truggy, 2wd mod buggy are my primary offroad classes depending on turnout any given Friday night.

I also race a 384ft run line banked tri-oval with pan cars when I feel like staying on the clean side of the drivers stand.

The dirt track looks nothing like the picture anymore but you can get an idea of the size of the oval.

Ernie you are a BAD PERSON!!!! I miss this and wish I could get back into it but I have this other addiction.......Turning!

I used to race when I was in my early 20's. We used to go every weekend and race indoor cars not trucks though. I think I would love it but boy can you spend some money trying to be competative!

Thanks for the memories and dreams!

Almost looks like boating, which we all know a Boat is a hole in the water which we must fill up with money. Why is every thing that is really fun so darned expensive??

I was thinking the same thing. Looks like boating. We got a boat in our yard right now renamed this year to "Every Last Cent".

A few years ago I moved from the high speed to the low speed RC arena, Rock Crawling. This is a ton of fun and you can do it anywhere, even inside (just make sure to clean your car after the last mud running or your wife might not be 100% behind the running it inside thing DAMHIKT...)

This is my comp rig, I have two other play crawlers. I have a "1:1" Jeep trail rig and it's fun to take the RC car along to play with while stopped on the trail while others are fixing their rigs:wink:. There are nrearly as many upgrate/tuning options for the RC car as for my Jeep so there isn't much "stock" left on either.

An no, small parts don't translate into small cost...

Chris

Not much car racing around here Fred. Almost everything is off road 1/8 and 1/10 scale trucks, buggies, and truggies. During the summer I race nitro as well. But the wintertime is just my 4x4 and 2x4 shortcourse trucks. And it can definetly become a money pit. Knock on wood, I haven't broke anything in the last 2 months.
