This is a piece of rare Pollyanna burl with live edge.

I have added mineral oil to show how amazing the burl on this wood is. I bought it a few years ago and could never find a project worthy of it;hopefully you will.

I don't remember how much I paid for it but I remember it was quite a lot! Never seen anything like it since!

The measurements are in the photos and the thickness is just over 2 inches.

i have it up on Ebay for $375 buy it now but if anyone on here wanted to offer me a little less, I'd be more than happy to sell it for less to my penturning buddies.

That sounds like you might have introduced a product that will never dry and will seep deep into the wood, inhibiting proper finishing in the future without removing a lot of material to expose dry wood again. Do you mean mineral spirits perhaps?
