Radial Sanding

I watched a video with I think its J Beall of penwizard fame sanding items using the lathe, he used a radial nylon disc to sand the pens he had machined on his device. Im in the UK and I'm trying to find something similar to smooth these with all their intricacies without rubbing out the design any ideas??
