Quilted Maple Desk Pen

Real simple and straight forward. I was going to take more pictures but it was the first pen sold at the show.... I was taking pics just before it all began and some guy came up a bought it.

Very nice looking desk pen. I love Maple. I bought some plain Maple at MacBeath's Hardwood a month ago and after planing it the figure and eyes popped out. Is the kit a slimline or another kit? How big is the base, just curious about how it balances the pen without tipping over?

Father Sing pen from CSUSA. The base is about 3 inches with several lead plugs put in the bottom for stablity.
