My question is; how do you modify the length of the refill in a slimline? Thanks.

I had heard somewhere about removing the black plastic screw-in part, then cutting the refill? Is that right? Thanks again?

Adjust the depth of the transmission, then "stock" refills will fit in the future.

If you cut your refill, you will have to do this every time you change the refill.
