I am making some Double Closed End Fountain Pens. I made up 4 x 6 Index cards printed on the computer. The cards show the drill bit sizes and the depth to which they have to be drilled. I can get the drill bits out, go over to the drill press and drill AND be confident that I am drilling to the correct sizes and depths.
