Not sure I have ever seen a silver 50 cal. round but I'm sure you could take some brass and have someone chrome them for you.Does anyone know where I can buy a 50 Cal pen kit that is silver? I've not seen one, but that does not mean their isn't one.
Regards,
That's what I thought also. Thank you!Not sure I have ever seen a silver 50 cal. round but I'm sure you could take some brass and have someone chrome them for you.
They were solid silver, taken from a secret silver mine.Did the Lone Ranger not use silver bullets????
I don't think he was shooting a 50cal.Did the Lone Ranger not use silver bullets????
Would have been a little odd to see the Lone Ranger with a desert eagle lolThey were either 44-40 or 45 long colt, judging from what I saw on the old TV series. More than likely the latter.
Cartridge is also frequently how the entire unfired round is referred to. Generally if someone wants to describe just the brass, it's referred to as a casing.Let me digress: Here's a bit of definition as I see it misused in the media: a bullet is the projectile that come out of the muzzle (end) of the barrel. The cartridge is the metal, paper or plastic that holds the powder, etc. The Lone Ranger's bullets were of solid silver.
Media: "They had a 100 bullets." Not useful unless they are in a cartridge, etc.
Nickel-plated brass 50 BMG shellcases DO exist. I still have some that I bought back when I was making bullet pen kits.I don't believe that nickel plated 50 BMG brass is something that exists.
See Bullet Pen Terminology for a description of the components of a metallic rifle cartridge and their proper names.Cartridge is also frequently how the entire unfired round is referred to. Generally if someone wants to describe just the brass, it's referred to as a casing.
