question re: casting flower petals

Do the petals need to be dried/pressed? Does it matter once they are fully encapsulated in resin?

I looked this up recently. Apparently, the issue of casting fresh petals is that the heat from the curing resin will wash out color. Your best bet is to press and dry petals between book pages before casting to keep the most color.
