I saw a video of a guy using cork stoppers on his PVC pipe. I was going to use size #1 stoppers (Top 3/4" x 1/2" bottom x 1" length) on my 3/4" PVC. I have the pipe cut at 5 inches now. I am wondering if the stoppers (1" high) will make the pipe 4 inches now. If I insert the 1/2" in first then it will be in the PVC to far and I will lose some space. Is that correct?

Mike, yes that sounds like it would eat up some space...not sure if it would even fit snugly if the OD of the top is the same size as the ID of the pipe. Maybe you can get one a size up, insert it, mark where it mates, then trim off so it doesn't extend too far into the pipe.
