I had a website with few hits, so I made a facebook page. Reading some by laws of facebook it says you can't have a personnel and business account. How does this work? Does anyone else use facebook?

Usually you have your personal account. Then you link your 'page' to your personal account. People who go to the page don't see your personal stuff but notifications from your page will come to your personal account. I don't think you can have a page without first having a personal account.

That's how I have it set up anyway.

Thanks Dan. I think that is how it's working. I just didn't want them disable it.. How do people buy stuff on there? I have paypal..

On FB you can have a personal account or a "Fan" page which is more or less the business page... I had one for a bit, but think it got hacked and/or phished... I got a notice from FB or at least purported to be FB that I had tried to log in from an unfamiliar machine - only use my desk top - and they needed some additional information to allow me to continue.... I shut it down.

as for buying stuff, they should do that from your web-site... if you're linked to the FB page, customers can follow the link to the web-site and that should be linked to paypal.

No buying on Facebook directly. I have people message me in Facebook and can send a paypal invoice. If you can certainly link to another website or etsy.

I do rather well on FB. All my pen pic's hit my home page and a PM follows. Do what works best for you and your market.
