To avoid any duplication of effort if you are working on clues and answers for crosswords, or word lists for seek & finds please post here. Let us know what theme you are doing.

I will do a crossword themed on IAP members. (If someone else already started that let me know and I will do something else.)

That is up to Curtis. He is the one who would have to crank them out. One a day seems a tad aggressive to me.

The word search puzzles are quite easy to do and would take literally 10-15 minutes to create each day. Crosswords however, take about 45 minutes each. I would LOVE to commit to one puzzle per day of any of the three but not sure I can meet that demand. Creating the puzzles is just part of it. The winners than have to be figured out and posted as well.

Broberg has knighted me as the Puzzle Chair so I am thinking rather than have one of each puzzle up at a time, I may mix it up and have a word search run for a couple of days, then maybe a jigsaw puzzle, then a crossword and then repeat.

I will be drafting some rules/format for the contest this evening. I may put in there that I am going to try to put up one per day subject to my time constraints. I was also thinking of, instead of having a winner with prizes for each contest, I may make it where you get x number of points for every puzzle you complete and the person/people with the most points at the end of the bash are the winners and get the prize(s).

Anyone have any thoughts on this idea?

I like that idea too!! Like a contest within a contest...could really spur some fun competitive juices...and banter! LOL Sorry on the daily...Think I read that somewhere, might have taken it too literally. Having one puzzle run for a couple of days makes more sense to me Curtis!

Working on ideas now, and will post some later tonight. Would it be OK for themes cross between puzzles as long we don't use the same words in each?

I think that would work, well Curtis!! The same group of guys play the trivia every day, this could start another group that play the puzzles.

Certainly worth trying!!

I have no problem with themes crossing somewhat. For example, I would prefer not to have 2 members crosswords but would not have any issue with a members crossword and a members word search.

It's sent Curtis. After sending it I recalled something being posted about formatting. I looked real quick and couldn't find it. If you need it formatted differently let me know.

Yep! Sorry, wasn't clearer. Maybe make it the "theme of the week" to run on all three types of puzzles?

Just thinking out loud....

HEY CURTIS,

After I Oinked Up the first crossword puzzle I had a trusted confidant check the one I just sent you. Please delete:

Pence: A fractional monetary unit of Ireland and the United Kingdom; One hundredth of a pound

The Pence is no more since the introduction of the Euro.
