interesting, do you just cut the groove and cut a wedge as close as possible and drive it in?

I cut the canary wood in a wedge. I cut a purpleheart blank in half. I glue all three together with 5 mniute epoxy. It is clear so you don't see the gray lines from the regular epoxy.I also use it to go tubes into pens. They are not britte like CA
