Has anyone ever used the steady rest that PSI sells? I'm planing on making some large goblets and pepper mills and feel that this would be a nice addition to have. I know that I could make one, but for the PSI one is only $50 (although out of stock right now) which seem reasonable. Anyone have a chance you use it?

Thanks,
Derek

Never used one, but know that lots of people do. I would like to have one for when I make the long peppermills. I really know nothing about this specific one either but if you do get it it would be appreciated if you give a report on it.

I have two home made steady rest, so have not used the PSI model. There is a slight learning curve to using one.

Have you tried any of the PSI resellers like woodturningz or wood&whimsies?

If they don't have any, get your name on list for one at PSI.

Don't have any experience with PSI but own a Oneway steady rest, used it lots of times and works very well. Its a must use for me on certain elongated projects.
