I bought a 4 pack from PSI.... Not worth the aggravation working with these. I might try to turn one on a Micro11 Taig as these blanks are not chisel friendly. Not up for what it takes to turn these. Where's the hammer? I'm going to fine tune them.

Those look just like the honeycomb blanks from Woodcraft. I've turned them with no problems whatsoever. I "knocked" the corners off with the bandsaw, and I use a carbide chisel with a "shearing" (held at an angle) cut.

I'm curious. What are the exact problems you had with turning them?

Pieces coming out of foil segments. End blew apart when squaring. Will post pics when I find it. It got tossed. I got it down to a dowel but it started self destructing. Yours look great.

Maybe the Woodcraft blanks are different, but I didn't have any of those problems. I'd turn one again.

That's a PSI Knights Armor pen in antique brass.
I'm a fan of that pen. Interestingly I was playing pool at a friends house. He has a giant sword on the wall …. Next time I went over I gave him a Knights Armor…. Told him
It's the pocket edition sword. He loved it

Public apology for being fast to flame. I tried again and bingo. Real happy with this. Photography is poor but wanted to post. Special thanks to qquake for the encouragement/inspiration to stay with it.
