I would recommend you get at least a 2hp DC with a cartridge filter and use 6" ducting. Anything smaller won't pick up much more than visible chips and only capture some of the too small to see stuff, the worst for your lungs, not all of it. It floats for many hours after you stop working. Open the ports on the machines to take the 6" ducts and if you can't/won't enlarge a 4" one, put a second 4" beside the machine to help scrub the air where you are making the dust. Keep your ducting as short as possible and understand that flex hose has twice or more resistance/drag as ducts do, so use it sparingly. Put some filters over your furnace ducts to keep it from going throughout your house.
