I am working on a 100 pen order. I am just about done this and now my dp spring broke. At least I can still use the dp but just have to watch the hands. The spring will be here in two weeks. I have done about 1,000 pens on this dp so I guess I cannot complain. I am ordering two springs.

When doing production work you also have to be mindful of you equipment. You also have to have a backup plan just in case something breaks.

I have another two hunderd pens to do over the next three weeks.

Good reminder Alan! Hope you don't get behind.

I had something similar happen with my most recent pen order. Only 24 pens but I don't have much free time to turn. Well the bearings went out on my Rikon and I didn't have a day to lose so I had to go out and buy a new lathe just to finish! I grabbed a Delta 46-460 and couldn't be happier. Now I'll have a lathe for buffing and drilling.

No still working. Just about done the order. Your blanks came out great. I have another 50 pens to do before leaving to Raliegh. Just have to watch my hands so that I do not get caught up in the DP.
You will like the Delta. I burned my up with in three years.

I'll place the order after I get back from Raliegh. So for it has not hurt production too much. They told me that this is not covered under warranty since this consider just like the belts. The rep told me you get about a year out of the spring.
