I've had that problem in the past too, but that's not the problem in this case. The white plastic mechanism is somehow jammed in the clip assembly. I think it has to do with the click mechanism spring. I can't pull it out. I've had that happen before with Vesper pens. I emailed Woodturningz, I'm hoping they respond soon.
 
I imagine you know this, but for the sake of others reading this thread:
When assembling "click" pens, do NOT put pressure on the click plunger.
Make a collar from a wood piece with a hole for the plunger, so you are
putting the assembly pressure on the solid piece that holds the clip.

Pressing on the "plunger" will almost always jam the assembly. This cannot be repaired.

Can the click/plunger assembly be disassembled? From the looks of the assembly instructions for the pen the click head is larger than the assembly body.
