Hey IAP,
Some of you may know already but I have been struggling with severe pain from a Mortons Neuroma in my foot. It is basically an enlarged nerve in my foot that is constantly being pinched by bone and tendons and stuff. Mine is very large from what the doc says and it has even branched off into other toes which he has never seen before.

Anyway, I am scheduled for an excision on Tuesday the 3rd. The excision is basically an easy way of saying they are going to cut my foot open and remove the enlarged nerve.

I will have numbness in that area after the surgery being that the nerve will be gone and maybe some phantom pain but hopefully I will get some relief.

So if you get the chance, please say a little prayer for me..

I attached a you tube video of the type of surgery I am having. The only difference is my doc is cutting a little more so he can clip the nerve higher up in my foot..

Thanks in Advance

Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon me, may your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring me to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Amen

I hope that your surgery goes without any complications. I had a small one removed from my knuckle on my middle finger and it was easier then I thought. They said that I would not have feeling, but after a year and a half I do have feeling in almost my entire finger.

Hope it works for you as well as it did for me. Had it done on my left foot about 10 years ago. Have the numbness but NO PAIN, YEAH! Is he going through the bottom or top of your foot? Mine was through the bottom. My Doc told me that the recovery is a little longer but less stuff to dig through than going through the top.
Good luck.

Brian, I know this has been causing you a lot of pain. I hope the surgery works like a charm! After what you've been through a little numbness might be a welcome relief! Prayers are on their way.

Scott.

Will be praying that our Lord will guide the surgeons hand and the surgical team in their duties. And for you Brian, a complete and speedy recovery. Keep us posted! Our Lord is with you.
