My mother in law was diagnosed with a stroke back in Janurary, and she was carried back to the hospital this past Sunday, with the same systoms as before, My wife and I received a phone call Yesterday at 1:30 am and was told to come to Montgomery, because she had, had a bad seizure. So we packed up and got there at 6:00am and she has no memory of anyone. It is like her memory is gone. Well at around 10:00am the doctor decides that it is best to send her to UAB in Birmingham and so they transported her by ambulance to UAB and we followed them. After they put her in a room and got her settled in, the Doctor comes in and tells the family that after looking at the MRIs they done, she never had a stroke, she has a tumor on the left side of her brain that controls her memory. My wife and one sister stayed with her last night. My wife told me this morning that they are going to do a procedure on her tomorrow. They will then decide whether or not to do surgery. So please pray for her and our family. This is going to be a long process and a lot of stress on everyone. Birmingham is only about 90 minutes away from us, however we are 4 hours away, and when we have to travel back and forth during this time, we are going to be in a finance strain. So please lift us up in your prayers. Sorry this is long, but wanted you all to know. Prayer really works and I it. So thanks for your help.

All praise and glory are yours, Lord our God.
For you have called us to serve you and one another in love.
Bless our sick today so that they may bear their illness in union with Jesus' sufferings and restore them quickly to health.
Bless those who have grown old in your service and give them courage and strength in their faith.
Lead us all to eternal glory.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

May God hold you and your family close to His breast and comfort you each and everyone during this your time of stress. Rely on His grace and the fellowship of your friends and family to share your sorrows and troubles. She, you and your family will be in our prayers. God bless you.

In Our Prayers,

Keith,
She will be in our Prayers along with your family! I know some of the pain, worry and stress you are talking about. My Wifes brother went through the same thing a year ago (2009) Christmas and just past away this Christmas (2010), but not from the tumor on the brain but other cancer related issues. Hang-in there buddy we are with you on this and so will our Father be.

Thanks Guys,
Headed back to the hospital this morning. They are scheduled to do a biopsy this afternoon at 1:00. Then it will be 3 to 5 days to get the results back. I will keep you all posted.

I hope that the next few days are not too difficult and that the results of the biopsy give you hope and relief for your mother-in-law. Be careful driving and remember to breath frequently and get rest, food, and plenty of fluids so that you all stay healthy during this stressful experience.

Kieth. if you and Cathy need anything I am just a phone call away. Your needs are on our prayer list at church. we will be here if you need us........ David & Family

Update on my Mother in Law, They could not do the biaopsy yesterday because her blood is too thin. When she was carried to the hospital on Sunday, they understood that she had a stroke and started to thin her blood. Now they have to build it back up to do the biaopsy. Please keep praying.

Another update,
my mother in law took a turn for the worst last night. She had another seizure and this time as a result she just has her eyes open and cant say anything. They moved her into another room in the unit, this time to they put in a feeding tube. Now family are only allowed certain times each day. PLEASE continue to pray for her and our family. Thanks, Keith

Another Update,
The Biopsy was done today. She went in at 8:00am and came out at 11:45 am. The doc says that they got enough tissue for a sample and they will send it to a lab for results. It will take 3 to 5 days to get the results back. So now we wait and hope for the best. Please keep praying. Thanks, Keith

PRAYER Absolutely Works - All the prayers that were offered for my Grandfather brought him home on Sunday and he is doing Great! He went full circle - The doctors had prepared us to be prepared for his passing at one point, to an almost overnight complete recovery. Doctors and Medications are great and God uses them for his work - The only explanation for his recovery was Grace, Love, Hope and Faith.
I will have your prayer request on going.
Thank you for sharing - God is Good!
Kevin
