Hello Everyone
I just want to explain why I haven't been real active on the site for about three years. In 2011 my wife had open heart surgery and had a few complications. In 2012 she fell and broke her jaw in three places. This year about a month ago we found out she has pancreatic cancer and it is not operable at this time. She is having a horrible time with the chemo and had to be taken off of it for the time being. That is the reason for this post, please offer a prayer that she will be able to withstand the chemo in a few weeks so that she can continue with it so she has a chance to get an operation to remove the tumor. Thanks for reading and your prayers if you are so inclined.

Thank you,

P.S. We also moved in 2012 and that was another headache.

Jim, I will be praying for your wife and you.
I know the ugliness of cancer and chemo, Lost wife in '97 from 2 yr battle with cancer.
I pray the Lord will guide the Dr's in her cure.

Jim,

You have our prayers consideration, with my SWMBO getting to the two yr recovery from the two worst blood born cancers we are still fresh from that demon Chemo that was 8hrs each time and the radiotherapy that followed she has had a fewhaircuts since then and indicators positive as my best buddy for 61 yrs my only advice to you both is stay close and the biggest thing for us was the nausia etc also I stopped almost all activities to be around 24/7. We never went to Church for a year to isolate from communicateable measles etc folk seem to bring kids to church with childhood diseases. In the past we had a Photographic Studio in a largely rural environment and I remember just how often parents would say since we were coming into town to take someone to the Docs or Hospital thought we would get some pics taken as well. We used to burn toys disinfect for hours as their confession mostly followed at leaving time. We banned anyone with a cold etc including family it payed off not even one cold in that year, she had because of the Chemo zero resistance.

I noted also following other problems the most recent pancreatic one was found this I call great the diagnosis in time I mean. Wilma my wife elected to have 8hrs every three weeks the first week after distress etc the 2nd week improving the nausea etc and in the third week nearly ready for the next chemo. She had whats called a post fitted to the main vein in the neck under the skin to promote ease of medicine, chemo her veins used to hide (fear)
She has this post checked every month still ready in an emergency or whatever.

Trust you will together overcome we pray.
Kind regards Peter and Wilma.

Thank you, Mark, Glen, Mark (Marksman), William, Jscola and Derrick.
Thank you Peter and Wilma for your account of what happened to you. When my wife recovers from the first two treatments they are going to adjust how they administer the chemo, so maybe they will go to that 3 week schedule. My wife also what they call a port implanted in her chest to make the administration of the chemo easier. My wife has almost lost all her hair after only two treatments. She took that pretty hard but now has a wig that she likes.
