I got some new cups for mixing PR (I think they were Hefty brand). Poured 12oz of resin and about 70 drops of hardener. Mixed it up. Put it in the pressure pot at -25mmHg for 5 minutes. When I took it out I noticed the walls of the cup were unusually flimsy. I figured the MEK was the culprit. Before I could get another container to pour the resin into the cup failed and this is what I got.

I used to use recycled clear plastic Starbucks cups but ran out. Is there a brand of plastic cups that you use with success?

You need to use unwaxed paper cups that is what the Experimental aircraft boys use. If you cant find them anywhere then check with Aircraft Spruce or Wicks Aircraft supply, look under epoxy supplies.

WHen I used to mix up fiberglass resin for my denim blanks, the cup used to get so hot from the chemical reaction. It was close to boiling. What about coke cans ?( cleaned out of course)
