Sure wonder what it would take to put it in working order? Close to home too [}:)]
 
I have one just like it but not variable speed. It is a nice lathe. Bought from a school auction for $100.

I think this lathe is the Powermatic Model 90 and here is a link to the Owners/Operating manual.
