Found a like new 14 inch band saw with mobile base for 600 on craiglist. Woodcraft has it for 1100 plus the base. Bought a riser kit for 48.00 on Ebay. Spent a hour putting the riser kit on the saw. Waited four long days for my resaw blades to come. Built an extended fence for resawing. Got to use it today. Sweet. Cut up everything I could get my hands on. No drift, no chatter and wood looks very smooth. Good saw, good blade and going slow gives me perfect book matches.
Been a good year for upgrades. New Delta 18" Drill Press, Bigger Jet dust collector and new bandsaw. Now I have to get rid of my old machines.
