I would like to try powder coating and I know there are some experts here.
I noticed the "Eastwood" gun #10198 looks like it has a "syphoning" type of powder feed and uses a trigger type switch http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/...ODUCT&iMainCat=459&iSubCat=460&iProductID=412 - and the "Caswell" gun #PCGUN125 looks like it has a "gravity" type of powder feed and uses a foot switch http://www.caswellplating.com/powder/powder_coat.htm
Is one type preferable over the other? Is one type easier to use, clean or clean? Preference over foot switch vs. trigger switch?
I searched and read the threads that I could find on this subject but didn't see any that addressed this particular question. They are both similar in price. I thought of the HF one mentioned in another thread here but they will only ship to Canada by UPS so I think their brokerage charges would be a killer.
Thanks so much for any opinions.
edit: I forgot to ask - are different manufacturer's powders compatible with the different powder guns??
