How does one convert an image made in Sketchup into a format that can be posted here for a reference image?

I cannot open the file with Photoshop to convert the file to a jpeg or anything else other than what Sketchup generates when saving the file. There are no other extensions available within Sketchup either.

Anyone using Sketchup to do any design work that may help me out? BTW, this is the FREE version and not the Pro version of the program.

Thanks in advance ...

Use a PDF writer. Search for free pdf writers if you don't have one. The program will set itself up as a printer and you choose to "print" your file and it will create the pdf file for you.

Or a screen capture program. They will usually capture to tiff or bmp which can then be converted and downsized for posting using photoshop.

Actually

You can export the image to a JPG then open with Paint. I usually do this, using Sketchup to get the measurements and angles right.

Hope this helps!

I'm with Curtis on this. I have used Cutepdf for while and it is my default printer (mobile laptop). Never had a problem. Works for all computer programs Autocad, MS, primavera etc.
