Polygonal cap bands

I did a little playing around this week, and finished these two pens up this afternoon. Both pens are made from alumilite I poured, and have stainless steel trim and clips. This was largely an exercise in messing around with faceted cap bands, as I recently got a mill and was anxious to try using it for more than just a glorified drill press. The red/black pen has an octagonal band, and the black pen has a 12 sided band. They were a lot of fun to make. I kept the rest of the pen pretty simple, as to retain emphasis on the cap band, and made tapered clips for both pens, to keep an angular motif going.
