Poly Clay poly clay question

I have been reading about poly clay blank making. If the finished blank is dropped or bumped, does the material crack or break? The finished product is great looking but do they hold up with use?

I purchased some blanks from Toni Ransfield back in February 2010, when she first posted her poly clay blanks. My wife has been carrying one of her keyrings and a pen every day since then. There are several dings from keys rubbing against the material but no cracks or breaks despite many drops over the last almost 12 years.
