Has anyone turned any of the Poly Blanks from Wood N Whimsies with the Easy Wood Tools? They've suggested not using "scraper" type tools as they would damage the blanks but the EWTs, albeit, are in a class by themselves. Just wondering if anyone has attempted this.

I turned one of W-N-W's camouflage poly blanks today and it cut extremely well with the carbide and the skew. I had just worked on three of PSI's poly blanks and the W-N-W blanks was easier to cut than the PSI's.

Kooster, I've not tried any of W&W blanks, but, I turned many other brands of Poly based blanks. I've turned them with the EWT carbide tools, and they are a pleasure to turn with. You can almost get a good enough finish with the EWT Mini Easy Finisher, that you will want to skip one or two sanding grits. I am very pleased with the EWT tools.

Thanks for the responses. I actually received a response from WNW indicating it was simply a matter of personal preference as to what type of tool was used. The EWTs were not preferred/used by them. However, they could be used effectively on their poly blanks. This was the info I wanted to clarify. Thanks again for the replies. "GO EWTs" !!!!
