I'm really hoping someone on this will know where I can pick up a pocket style cork puller. It's the kind that usually has a bottle opener on one end and then a fold out puller. One of my long time customers has asked me to make some for their store but I'm having a heck of a time finding any. Thanks in advance for any help!

Here's kind of what I'm looking for.

Quick search shows searching for "cork screw wine opener" got the most results.
Looks like cork pullers is how they refer to the ones that have the 2 blades that go down either side of the cork.

Find one that folds up and the corkscrew has an eye hook style end.
Using a pen blank, create mount in center, and carve out a pocket on one end.

If I find one of mine I will post it. Search for folding wine corkscrew to find sources.

There are several types of corkscrews in use. The one you're looking for is typically called a waiter's corkscrew. That should narrow down your search. I know Trader Joe's sells them, if you have one near you…
If not, Amazon has a wide variety of them.
Some even already have wooden handles.

You can get waiter-style corkscrews everywhere - even the dollar store. Attaching scales to them might be tricky, and modifying better quality ones to accept scales would likely lead to costing issues. I like the idea, but it's going to prove difficult to do profitably, and the juice might not be worth the squeeze. Maybe selling mini, custom boxes to hold the corkscrew would be a better idea?

A few years back Rockler (could have been Woodcraft) was selling a Sarge custom wine tool kit (SK-36KIT), I picked up a couple but I'm not finding it anywhere online now. Could have been a special holiday deal.

I think they just drop-shipped it:

I've looked at every supplier, and then some, that I could think of. I found already made ones and I find it interesting that no supplier has ever thought of getting these for resale.

A bit high in price for resale. Plus, Sarge decided a few years back to start etching "Sarge" on the blade plus stamping "China" on their blades. My sales dropped off severely with the China stamp but it was required by some law that it be stamped China as the steel for the blade came from China. Try to explain that to a buyer.

wolf creek, your friend must drink good wine as the cheap stuff uses a screw off cap. BTW, I have seen pens and other turnings from wine corks.

These cork pullers are going to a very high end men's clothing store, so yes the clientele is probably drinking the good stuff. However, a very good friend of mine who is a grape grower and wind maker in Lodi CA once told me not to look at the price but to taste it. If it tastes good, drink it, if it tastes like crap, spit it out. Ted, my friend, and I have shared many bottles of wine over the years and his suggestion was always spot on.
