Planer gloat

Picked up a Delta 22-560 planer last night for $50. Thing is like new. Works perfectly, and they threw in a new set of blades.

If things get tight after losing my job, I can sell it for more. I hope not though... :biggrin: This thing works too nice.

Man, I'm already envisioning PERFECTLY squared blanks with almost no input from the user. I think EXTREMELY small at times.....

I wouldn't even try to put the blanks in this, unless they were still all stuck together in a board.

Fair enough. Still, even running a plank through to cut down to blanks would be so much easier than trying to cut individual sticks down on all 4 sides. But, I really don't know a whole lot about planers, either. Maybe we need to invent a planer small enough to just feel a rough blank through and presto!

That's smooth. Just get it up to 3/4 inch and I'd be adding it to the I MUST OWN THAT list. Maybe some serious digging could turn something up.....

I would go with this one personally. This one goes up to 1 5/16 and is built like a tank.JMHO
