Last night, Jon was kind enough to come check out my open house... and proved he was the lesser procrastinator between us, as he had my PITH pen but I didn't have his ready quite yet. This week, Jon!
He provided some buckeye burl blanks along with their own transportation. Now we know how buckeye burl logs get from the forest to the sawmill! It occurs to me that those logs will make a lot of HO scale pen blanks for HO scale pen turners.
Jon was not nearly as excited about the pen as he was about the log wagon, but he shoulda been! It's a beautiful piece of wood wrapped around a fountain pen with a fine Bock nib. It's definitely going in my carry pen rotation. Actually, it's creating the rotation - as until now I just had one carry pen, and you need at least two to be able to rotate them!
