Hi Folks, since PP changed it's shipping platform to a subscription basis, I used Pirate Ship. No fee was required and I did receice a substantial discount on a UPS shipment. I don't know how good it will be going forward (I only used it once) and I know nothing is really "free", but it worked-out quite well and so far no one has tried to sell me encyclopedias.

Don't know about your experience but I signed up for it and the hassle I had to go through to ship 2 pens was ridiculous, what are you shipping, do you have a website or facebook page or social media you sell from etc. Then it wouldn't accept payment from my Pay Pal account or my credit card. I finally said enough and went through Pay PAL shipping.

I signed up for Pirate Ship in May and have used it a dozen or so times. I find it quite simple to use and no more work that if I go to the post office and use the machine. If you have repeat shipping destinations it is even easier.

I have nothing to sell from. I just shipped about 2 pounds of documents via UPS. I may have just gotten lucky. According to PP shipping, I can't ship through them anymore. I have to use PP Ship Station which required a monthly fee. That is why I switched.

I don't sell anything online either.
According to PP website there is no charge other than the shipping.
As for the monthly fee from Ship Station, when I searched "does Pay Pal use Ship Station" I got this -
Yes, PayPal integrates with ShipStation, allowing you to import orders, create labels, and manage fulfillment from one place, but PayPal also offers its own built-in shipping center, creating a situation where some users find the migration and functionality confusing or problematic compared to using ShipStation, with some users expressing frustration about tracking updates and features in the newer PayPal Shipping Center{4, 5}.
Somehow about a month or so ago, I somehow got linked to Stamps.com. I quickly canceled that. I don't ship enough to justify a monthly fee from shipping.

PP Shipping doesn't let me create a label anymore. It direct me to their Ship Station platform. I am probably not familiar with the work-around. I spend a total of 2 hours over several days trying to figure it out. Thanks for sharing your experience!

FWIW, ShipStation is owned by Stamps.com & requires a stamps.com for postage.

We use pirateship instead of shipstation.
