I get a lot more uniformity compared to cutting on the table saw.

This is a Jetstream kit from Beaufort Ink....uses Parker style refills. Boxwood.

Looks like your triangle jig did the trick. With the triangles being end grain, how was the turning experience?

I modified the jig to cut side grain.....so no issues.

Amazing work. It amazes me how small these pieces can get when making segmented blanks like this. I am curious, are you initially gluing up larger pieces, then cutting them down to standard blank size? Or are you making them at blank size (i.e. 3/4" square)?

Thanks for your interest, Jon. If you tap the link in my original post there is a photograph showing the size of the triangles. They are glued in pairs and then the pairs are glued to form a square pinwheel. The pattern needs to be small enough that it doesnt encircle the finished pen....
.I dont find that a good look.

Steve, hello..... I made a new jig, basically the same as the other one, except I narrowed the 'runners' in closer to the blade to alloe the timber more to rest on when cutting.
