Pignut Hickory is a pretty common tree here in central Arkansas, and considering there are almost 30 different types of 'hickory' in North America.....it's just a good thing the leaves were still on the top with some nuts(or I'd have thought it something else). Guess it should have called: Carya glabra but that name just sounds uncool:wink:

Great work on the pen Tom, if the background was a little lighter in colour it would certainly show off your pen better!
