PICs of DP Pedal

I finally got to take some photos of my "third hand", as per earlier post. Excuse the mess...the more I clean up the worse it gets.

My 50 yr old Atlas DP. This is before the era of table lifts, so I use a pulley system with white cord (barely visible). Foot pedal connects to a cable that eventually wraps around the quill handle.

Close up of pedal. (The chain is part of the table lift)

Cable comes up through a pulley (bracket attached to the DP) and wraps arount the inside hub of the handle. It works like a charm.

I am sure it works for you....but I for one am afraid of putting cables near motors/spinning things....so this is not for me.

I call these "McGyver thinghies"...and I used to do a lot of it myself. I guess I got older [B)]
