Curtis took the judges and the pictures into the newly erected "Cactus Palace" on the 15th. There are rumors circulating that screams have been heard, but so far no shots have been fired.

You'll notice Curtis has also been missing---again rumored to be pulling out toenails (in the boards in his Cactus Palace---what did YOU think??!!??!?).

Further information should be available soon.

After all, there are only 28 days in February and we have to vote yet.

I just got the judging stuff back from the judges this evening. No fault of theirs, though. I was late in getting it to them due to having to deal with real world issues last week. I am compiling their results as we speak and hope to have the polls up later this evening!

I just knew there were some very talented photograpers here. All catagories are going to be hard to pick a winner. There is some fine thinking outside the box there also. Great job by all entryies. I hope at some time we get to see all the entries to really see what the judges had to sort through. I hope this becomes a permanent part of the IAP and maybe somehow incorporate something in a new forum just for this kind of thing. I am always fascinated with people's ideas when it comes to things like this. The artistic part of pen making and ways of showing and advertising the artform.

To me I look at the BASH in a different view. I know people want to compete and win some fabulous prises and that is great. But the true value to me is the viewing of such great creativity. I think these contests as they are called just push those creative juices abit. It is nice to see the beginners put forth so many great pens because this means this hobby still has life and the begginer minds will help carry it on. Great job all around once again.
