Hello all,

I saw the group buy for the Lotus, Imperial, and possibly the Emperor kits and I was wondering if anyone has thought about petitioning CSUSA to carry these kits again? It would be nice if we could gather enough interest to get CSUSA to carry them again. Just a thought.

Jason;
I am working on several options to get these three at reasonable pricing.

Please check the group buy forum and list how many of each of these you would like to purchase. I trying to put together a deal exclusively for the IAP and I need your input.

A "petition" at this point would undo a great deal of work. Please wait 2 weeks before any attempt at this. Thanks

Andy,

I have absolutely no problem with holding off on this idea (if it even gets enough interest). As I said in the group buy I really appreciate what you are doing. I was just curious if the petition approach had already be attempted.

In a recent visit to CSUSA, I spoke with them about the loss of these kits. They stated that they sold, but only 1 or 2 at a time. It was not profitable for them to carry them. Another reason is that they are looking for higher end kits without the asian inspiration all over them. My favorite is the Lotus and I would love to see that one come back around at a reasonable price.

CUSA was my first contact and they had no interest. I have also been contacting other IAP vendors who have expressed varying degrees of interest in these sets. I should have relevent information in about 2 weeks.

Thanks for your patience.

I don't think it would be fair to petition a company for no longer carrying a product. Try and put yourself in their shoes. You have a $50 item lets say, and you have a minimum quantity you have to purchase, lets just say it's 100 kits must be purchased at a time..that's $5000 plus shipping, but how long does shipping take, and maybe you have to buy more than 100, I don't know, but even just 100 kits sitting in inventory, that's your cash money and you need it to be rotating and making money..if you sell one or two a day, what's the profit on that shelf compared to how much cash is stuck on that shelf? Business is about making money, not stocking inventory for the minority of people.
