Been out of town for the past 5 days playing in the Indiana State Billiards Tournament. It's a combination of different events that consist of Partner 8 ball, Singles 8 ball, and Singles 9 ball. This was the first tournament i've played in over a year. Turned out to be very good and profitable. Finished 9th out of 118 in the doubles. Finished 9th out of 97 in 8 ball singles. And finished 2nd out of 84 in 9 ball singles. Not bad for a Hillbilly from KY. Now back to the daily grind tomorrow.

I've always loved billliards, and always sucked at it. Unless I pound a few shots of something flammable, then I kick butt for 20 or 30 minutes. Then back to suckage.

Congrats. Sounds like fun!

He needed one of these to time his shots too.:smile::smile:

That's GREAT Ernie!!!

My dad and I used to go to local bowling alleys and play pool. Invariable someone would come up and ask to play doubles. After a few games they would say "ten cents a ball"? Then dad and I would switch to right hand!

Good job Ernie. Did you happen to run into George Breedlove (The FlameThrower)? Or his wife Jeanette Lee (The Black Widow)? Friends of mine. I worked with Georges dad (Denny Breedlove at his auto repair shop 18 years. I'd say you're pretty darn good, to finish that far up the ladder. Congratulations friend!

Congratulations Ernie. If I am ever tempted, remind me of this weekend and I'll just politely park myself and watch the pro at work. You done good, big guy.

Chuck, George and Jeanette didn't make it. Seems thery're getting ready for the Derby City Classic that is next month. And the kid is taking a lot of their time. George invited me over for dinner Friday, but I played until 3am and couldn't get away. Was a very long 4 days in Indy. To top it off it snowed like crazy and was cold as hell. You should of been there instead of in Sunny Florida.

((On a side note, I hope I used all three forms of THERE correctly:biggrin:))

You did. (You added and extra "r" in the first one, but you did use it correctly.)

Congrats on the tourney.

Too bad you couldn't make it to Georges. Have you seen the game room he built? That place is awesome. Black tables and, The Black Widow pinball machine is cool.
