I've made quite a few casing pens, all using Cross transmission which I truly dislike. I have ruined probably a dozen of them pressing them into place. I've wanted to make a casing pen using a Parker refill and finally did it. This is a Perfect Fit on a 338 magnum casing. The casing will eventually be powder coated gloss black. The lower tube for the PF is shorter than the casing so the antler has a shoulder turned on it to take up the space. I had to also turn down the transmission coupler to fit into the casing. The nib is currently a hair proud of the casing, but that should be taken care of when it gets the powder coating. I'm fairly pleased with the result.
