I like the intersecting laminations. I make a lot of miniature bowls and vases using that technique.

This camera angle helps keep the "body" more prevalent, so the top looks like its more proportional.
When I do these, I include a postcard with the mill that tells them what woods are used. And it has a pic of that mill on the postcard. Then, if they ever decide they want a matching salt mill, you have clues as to what you are making!!!
